My name is Trinette Cordeiro. I am a Clinical Psychologist, Accredited EMDR Practitioner and Board Approved Supervisor. I work with clients who are 18 and over. The presentations that I work with are Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Grief, Adjustment Issues, Anger Issues, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Childhood Trauma, individuals seeking help with relationship issues.
Being the right fit for you is a very important part of my practice. I usually schedule a 20-25 minute obligation free phone call during which we will go over your reasons for attending therapy, goals and decide if we are a good fit for each other. If we decide not to proceed I will try and refer you to another practitioner.
I work between Wednesday- Fridays both online and in the Warrandyte- Mitcham area of Melbourne.

Therapeutic Approach
I have an interest in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders and Trauma. I use an eclectic approach to therapy based on my clients’ presenting issues and their needs.
I am an Accredited Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Practitioner and I am a Full Member of EMDR Association of Australia. I also use Cognitive- Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness Based Approaches.

Fees - Please note that I do not offer Bulk Billed appointments and Third Party appointments ( Workcover, VOCAT, TAC, NDIS).
An out of pocket gap fee is applicable to all clients. The Medicare Rebate with a valid referral and mental healthcare plan is $137.05 per session. You can access upto 10 Medicare rebated clinical psychology sessions in calendar year.
I accept referrals under Medicare and Private Health Insurance
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel within less than 24 business hours your card will be charged between $80-$100, based on the length of your session. If you do not show up for a session your card will be charged 100% of the session fee. Please note there are no Medicare rebates available for no shows and late cancellations. Cancelling your appointment with short notice means that you are delaying your therapy, the appointment could have been used by another person who needed the session and is time lost that the practitioner has spent preparing for the session.
About Me
I am originally from Mumbai, India. I completed my Postgraduate studies in 2011. I have called Melbourne my home since 2016. Having lived and worked overseas I am able to practice in a culturally sensitive and informed way.
It is very important that we are the right fit to work with each other. If we are not, I would refer you on to another practitioner and facilitate a handover. Sometimes clients need to see several different practitioners before they can find one that suits them.
I am able to provide Secondary Supervision to those undertaking the 4+2 and 5+1 Pathway. I have the capacity to provide Primary Supervision for the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program.
In my free time I enjoy baking, cooking, going for walks, and growing veggies in my garden.
